Green Freeports – winning bids announced
Lynn Harris, Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce President, today welcomed news of Forth Green Freeport’s successful bid to become one of Scotland’s first Green Freeports.
She said: “This is a fantastic result and brilliant news for our region, its economy and our business community.
“As a Chamber we supported the consortium’s bid, along with our counterparts at Edinburgh and Fife Chambers, in a joint letter.
“We are delighted with today’s decision which comes after a huge amount of hard work and collaboration across various private and public sector organisations including Forth Valley Chamber member Forth Ports Group who were a lead partner on the bid.
“This transformational initiative will bring high value jobs to the area and hopefully encourage new companies to set up here. We look forward to witnessing the economic benefits and engaging with a growing number of businesses.”
