Quarterly Economic Indicator 2023 Q1 is LIVE!

The quarterly chamber survey is among the most well regarded and respected trackers of business confidence and performance in the Scottish economy.

It also plays an essential role in setting the business agenda and informing the most senior levels of government and policy making of the challenges facing Scottish businesses.

The last survey conducted by Scottish Chambers of Commerce showed Scottish businesses and the economy faltering under increasing cost pressures and declining business confidence. As a result, cashflow and profits are falling, investment decisions have paused, firms are raising prices and struggling to recruit and retain staff.
