Following the success of our Trade Mission to Tartan Week last April, we are delighted to be leading a delegation to New York for companies keen to develop business opportunities and expand their International trade activity.
Scotland is open for business, and we want the world to know!
We have chosen to visit the US again due to the continuing strong business connections between New York and Scotland and our aim is to bring the best of Scotland across the Atlantic and like last year, we will achieve this with the growing range of ambitious and diverse businesses we have right on our doorstep.
The trade mission will help your business explore international trade opportunities in New York City and beyond.
At this stage, we are inviting businesses from the following sectors to apply to attend:
- Retail
- Food and Drink
- Luxury Goods
- Textiles
What is involved?
As part of this trade mission delegates will receive market sector specific briefings on trading in the US, one-to-one business meetings with potential clients or trade partners in New York based on your company requirements. You will also have the opportunity for product placement at key events throughout the week, and the opportunity to be part of our ‘Meet the Maker/Trade Fair’ event which will take place in a central location, and of course march in the world renowned Tartan Day Parade on 6th Ave celebrating the events 25th anniversary.
This is a fantastic opportunity to dip your toe in the water of international trade at a relatively low cost. We arrange meetings and special events, you pay the cost of your own travel, accommodation, and some food (probably around £2,500).
To secure your place on the mission, a non-refundable deposit of £300 plus VAT is required.
