SCC seek business opinions on Air Services between Scotland & London

The Scottish Affairs Committee at Westminster has contacted SCC regarding the punctuality of flights between Scotland and London.

It has been brought to their attention that there has been an ongoing issue with punctuality in cross border routes and that this is having an impact on Scotland’s business community and its ability to access appointments and meetings in London and beyond.

They are therefore interested to learn if Scottish businesses have encountered difficulties in their experiences with Scottish air services to London.

They have put to us the following three questions:

  • What is the current view of punctuality of flights to and from Scottish airports?
  • How has this changed over the last 3, 10, 15 and 20 years?
  • How has punctuality of airlines to and from Scottish airports affected your members’ business activities including but not limited to: Meetings, Trade and Connecting travel.

If this is something that you have experience or knowledge of, please do share views on this to inform the SCC response.  Please contact: CCampbell@scottishchambers.org.uk

SCC would ideally like any views back by 10th October at the latest.
