The ever growing ice cream empire Candied added another two more titles to its jam packed trophy cabinet with big wins at this year’s Scottish Takeaway Awards.
Owner Amrit Dhillon and members of the Candied crew attended the awards ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow at the weekend to hear the business, which has branches in Denny, Grangemouth, Rumford and Stenhousemuir, won Best Dessert Parlour of the Year and Best Ice Cream Parlour of the Year.
Amrit said: “A heart felt thanks to our amazing customers for their support over the last seven years of Candied. They have chosen to spend their hard earned money with us during a challenging time for individuals and businesses alike.
“Awards such as these wouldn’t be possible without them. I am blessed to be surrounded by an incredibly talented and dedicated team. These awards do not belong to me, they are the result of the work of the Candied family.”
“Customers and the team are the two most important aspects in my business – look after them and everything else becomes significantly easier.”
That has certainly proved to be the case for Candied when it comes to the Scottish Takeaway Awards – last year the business captured the Ice Cream Parlour of the Year title and Dessert Business of the Year in 2019.
A spokesperson for The Scottish Takeaway Awards 2023 said: “The awards aim to provide a platform to those who have dedicated their career in providing us with delicious dishes across multiple cuisines in a timely manner and affordable prices.”
