Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce were delighted to host a member exclusive roundtable discussion about the Forth Green Freeport (FGF). The session is the start of a series of SME engagement through the Chamber of Commerce Network.

Hosted yesterday afternoon at the Port of Grangemouth with the Freeport Chair, Dame Susan Rice DBE, and Derek Knox, Forth Portsโ€™ Scottish Ports Director, as keynote speakers. The session comes days after the investment incentives were conferred on the FGF development footprint, with the associated supply chain benefits.

Did you know:

– 10% of the freeport development footprint is dedicated to SME growth

– target growth sectors include offshore wind manufacturing and deployment, hydrogen and sustainable fuels production, low carbon logistics, shipbuilding and modular construction.

Huge thanks to all our speakers and members who contributed to the lively discussion and debate around the importance of FGF to the local and surrounding areas and of course the wider economy of Scotland.

Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce are committed to working with the team at Forth Ports to ensure all our members have up-to-date information on the Forth Green Freeport ambitions and objectives which will have a long-lasting positive impact for the future economy.
