I am a transformative Interim CEO, Board Member & Independent Non-Executive Director, a ‘battle-proven’ strategic leader of Change over 30 years. I focus on delivering decisive and significant transformations such as turnaround, restructuring, in addition to sustainable strategic growth and scaling.

I take a fresh mindset to deliver reassurance, drive and considerable leadership experience at a time of crisis or significant growth challenges with an authentic and inclusive people centred approach.
I have been fortunate to have worked in every business function within Manufacturing companies (except HR!) in large >£200m t/o multinational organisations and pre revenue start-ups.

In 1995 I started the formal introduction into Strategic Review, Business transformation, Restructuring and Growth, whilst working alongside the turnaround divisions of PwC and Deloitte successfully leading the transformation of ILFORD from an Analogue to a digital entity, resulting in a swing from a £5m loss to £2m Ebit improvement, an eventual MBO, and later successful Exit.

The last 22 years has been a rollercoaster of transformations, growth, acquisitions and exits, leading as an Interim CEO in a range of high technology industries such as Photographic, Medical, Satellite and Optical telescopes and Precision Engineering, and as a Non-Executive/Consultant in many more diverse businesses.

All the business transformations I have completed have begun with an in-depth analysis of what the market is and why they want to operate in that market, followed by establishing a flexible cash flow model to explore the cash impact of any business decisions. New cash is often required and that can be done by either internal Inventory management or fund raising of which I have completed eight rounds over the last 10 years and have good relationships with the Scottish Angel Investment community.

Often companies have only 2 key issues at any one time, or they would not be key! Let us tackle them first and then move on to the next 2 with a flexible strategic execution plan, which I can help lead within your organisation or support once established.
It may seem daunting but, in my experience, delaying talking about the pressures does not make it easier.
