Connect. Discover. Be Inspired.
Start your morning by making new connections in one of Scotland’s most remarkable historic houses.
Join fellow Forth Valley Chamber members for Let’s Network: Forth Valley – our signature monthly networking event that brings businesses together while opening the doors to some of the region’s most inspiring organisations and hidden gems.
This September, we’re delighted to be welcomed to Forth Valley Chamber member, Thackray House, Callander, where more than 400 years of history meet a new chapter in hospitality. Originally built in 1625 as the country lodge Roman Camp for the influential Drummond family, the house has witnessed centuries of Scottish history, from Jacobite intrigue and royal connections to Victorian grandeur and even a visit from one of the world’s most famous bands.
Beautifully restored by Gail and Sydney Thackray and relaunched in 2026, Thackray House now blends its extraordinary heritage with contemporary hospitality, ensuring its remarkable story continues for generations to come.
During the morning you’ll:
- Enjoy relaxed networking with fellow Forth Valley Chamber members over refreshments.
- Hear the captivating story of Thackray House, from its origins with the powerful Drummond family and links to the Jacobite movement, through its royal associations with Queen Victoria, Edward VII and Lord Esher, to its colourful years as a much-loved hotel that famously welcomed The Beatles.
- Take a guided tour of this magnificent house, discovering its remarkable architecture, beautiful interiors and the treasured stories that have shaped more than four centuries of Scottish history.
Whether you’re looking to build new business relationships, reconnect with familiar faces or simply step inside one of Scotland’s hidden historic treasures, this event promises an inspiring morning of networking, heritage and discovery.
Every conversation opens a new opportunity. Every venue has a story.
Join us on Friday 25th September, from 08:30 to 10.30, and discover why Thackray House is writing an exciting new chapter in the story of one of Scotland’s most treasured historic homes.
