Forth Valley Chamber hosts Inward Trade Mission of US Retail Buyers

Forth Valley Chamber were delighted to welcome the North American Celtic Trade Association Delegation of US retailer buyers to our ‘Meet the Scottish Maker’ event as part of our Inward #TradeMission!

Our day-long event, held at the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel consisted of an exhibition with 12 authentic and innovative Scottish businesses, followed by a delicious Scottish themed dinner. We indulged in a Sweet Vs Savoury Scottish pairings session involving Fudge, biscuits, gin and whisky, topped off by some fantastic tunes from our local bagpiper Robbie MacIsaac!

A massive thank you to Isabel Maguire Haley and Tom McGrath of NACTA for bringing your enthusiastic delegation to meet our equally enthusiastic makers. Great connections were made and trans-Atlantic trade opportunities are already being explored!

A special thank you to The Ochil Fudge Pantry for hosting our Sweet vs Savoury session (kindly representing The Drinks Bakery Ltd ) and to Stirling Distillery for our Gin and Whisky tasting, as well as providing the perfect pairings for our Haggis starter and Cranachan dessert! Safe to say you all looked after us!

These events epitomise the importance of supporting International Trade opportunities, something that Forth Valley Chamber of Commerce and the wider Scottish Chambers of Commerce network are dedicated to supporting!
